The Future of Work:
A workshop for educators and communities

Abstract:

This workshop is geared to the needs of communities that want to insure the future employability of their students. It is based on the presenters book, The Future of Work in the Telematic Age, to be published in April, 2002, by ASCD. While the schedule for this workshop is flexible, the presenter recommends the following:

One hour evening presentation on the Future of Work for parents, administrators, board members, and local business leaders followed by --

Morning one hour assembly on the Future of Work for students (middle and high school) followed by a multi-hour workshop for educators exploring these themes from their perspective in various subject areas.

This workshop can be tailored to the needs and time schedules of individual schools or districts.
