Renaisance Two:
A glimpse of the future

Abstract:

The age of discovery and the Renaissance were triggered in part by a communications revolution: the development in Europe of the moveable type press. The explosion of information that led to an era of exploration and creativity pales in comparison with the revolution we experienced during the latter part of the Information Age. The Web is the second fastest growing communication technology in history (eclipsed only by peer-to-peer communication). Wireless hand-held devices bring information to anyone anywhere anytime.

Based on historical precedent, this presentation explores why we are poised at the edge of an era of unprecedented creativity and exploration that will transform all aspects of work, education, and life. The presenter explores emergent trends that will impact learning organizations of all kinds in the coming years.
